alhambra

this was such a great opportunity to see what granada is know for: the alhambra... so called because of its reddish walls (in Arabic, («qa'lat al-Hamra'» means Red Castle). this "city inside of a city" includes the old military quarters, royal family palace, and the generalife which is made up of tons of gardens. i hope to go back when everything is in full bloom. the architecture throughout was an interesting mix of islam and christian in the different motifs and colors used. this mix is a result of the change in power.

wow - this place is beautiful - i am really encouraged that even in the art and the mix of the spiritual themes there, that God can remind us of the very real spiritual warfare that exists here - stay true to your call in Christ - love ya
